Glulam produced with Prefere 6151/ Prefere 6651 is tested according to NF EN 13823 standard (Single Burning Item – December 2002) and NF EN ISO 11925-2 standard (Single Flame Source – December 2002) and meets their requirements.

Prefere 6151 is neutral and does not attack the wood structure.

Prefere 6170 with hardener Prefere 6670 is a two-component emulsion polymer/isocyanate-based glue system (EPI glue). The glue can be used for bonding wood to wood and wood to aluminum. Prefere 6170 is particularly suitable for gluing softwood. The glue system is very flexible and suitable for many applications.

Prefere 6170 with hardener Prefere 6670 gives glue joints with very good water and heat resistance. The gluing system meets the requirements of resistance class D4 according to EN 204/205 as well as C4 according to EN 12765 with a good safety margin. The glue also gives glue joints with very high heat resistance according to EN 14257 (Watt 91).

Prefere 6170 cures quickly and thus allows short pressing times. It can be used for both cold and warm gluing and is very suitable for high-frequency curing.

Prefere 6170 is neutral and does not attack the wood structure.

Prefere 6171 with hardener Prefere 6671, is a two-component adhesive system based on an emulsion polymer and an isocyanate hardener (EPI adhesive). It is used for gluing of wood to wood and wood to aluminium. The adhesive system can be used for a wide range of applications within the wood industry. Prefere 6171 is especially suited for solid wood lamination and is suitable for a wide range of wood species and material combinations.

Prefere 6171 with hardener Prefere 6671 gives bonds with excellent water- and heat-resistance as well as long time durability. The adhesive system conforms to Durability class D4 of the European standards EN 204/205 as well as to C4 according to EN 12765 with good margins. In addition it gives very high heat resistance when tested according to EN 14257 (WATT 91).

The adhesive system is fast setting and permits short pressing times. It can be used under both cold and hot pressing conditions and is well suited for high frequency pressing conditions.

Prefere 6171 is completely formaldehyde free and pH-neutral.

Powder resins

Dynea’s range of one-component adhesives extends from urea to melamine-urea-based powders. The products are mixed with water before use. The adhesives are suitable for industrial use as well as for smaller bondings and can also be supplied in 5 kg containers for this purpose.

W-Leim Plus 3000 is a self-curing powder urea glue which is characterized by particularly low emission and a soft glue line. The adhesive is especially suitable for veneering and foil coating in the temperature range of 70° – 140°C.

W-Leim Plus 3000 meets the requirements for moisture class C3 according to EN 12765.

If W-Leim Plus 3000 is used according to the specifications in this data sheet, end products of emission class E1 according to EN 717-2 (gas analysis) can be produced.

W-Leim Plus 4000 is a self-curing powder urea glue which is characterized by particularly low emission and a soft glue line.

W-Leim Plus 4000 has very good wetting properties, especially for problem veneers (birch, maple, pine …), therefore an addition of white glue is no longer necessary.

The adhesive also shows very good properties in the lower temperature range with short pressing times.

W-Leim Spezial meets the requirements for moisture class C3 according to EN 12765.

Provided that W-Leim Plus 4000 is used according to the specifications in this data sheet, end products of emission class E1 according to EN 717-2 (gas analysis) can be produced.

W-Leim Spezial is mainly used for cold gluing applications in wood processing. The adhesive is suitable for interior wood constructions, for gluing solid wood parts, for gluing laminated panels (dks) to chipboard and for other gluing processes in the trade.

W-Leim Spezial is also suitable for high frequency and hot gluing. In the case of sensitive wood species such as Swiss pine, pine, larch or spruce, discoloration of the wood in the area of the glue joint may occur. In case of doubt, carry out appropriate test gluing. W-Leim Spezial is only suitable to a limited extent for coating chipboard with wood veneers or foils.

W-Leim Spezial meets the requirements for moisture class C3 according to EN 12765.

Prefere 4452 is a ready-to-use one-shot adhesive for veneer splicing. The adhesive formulation contains a release agent. This reduces the tendency of the adhesive to adhere to the heating shoes, thus reducing the need for cleaning.

The adhesive is suitable for both longitudinal and cross-feed edge banding machines. The adhesive’s unique formulation provides a clean adhesive application and high quality bonded joints.

The color of the adhesive mixture is brown. This creates yellowish to beige glue lines that are virtually invisible on most veneers. For light and white veneer grades, a white grade of adhesive can be supplied.
